Wanderline Research conducts ambient field science across the continental United States. I worked at the Environmental Protection Agency for eleven years, where the data was good but the geography was fixed. My current program addresses the second problem. I maintain a full mobile laboratory — air composition, soil chemistry, electromagnetic spectrum, hydrological pH, ambient acoustics — and I take measurements wherever the measurements are.
People sometimes ask what I am looking for. This is the wrong question, though I understand why people ask it. The data will indicate what I was looking for once enough of it has been collected. Collection is ongoing. Year six.
